Vittoria Luyé
French Sign Language Consultant
Vittoria is a comedian and a proud CODA — Child Of Deaf Adults —, firmly entrenched in both hearing and deaf cultures. It is very naturally she dedicated her craft to promoting this dual identity of hers and the languages attached to it. Vittoria gradually became a bridging entity between hearing teams and deaf partners, and her very special sensibility lead her to take part into several plays for children, as well as film projects, including « The Vahine. »
Vittoria has at heart to protect and empower deaf identities as she deconstructs the prejudiced visions of mainstream conceptions, one story at a time. Together with bilingual friends, she founded a one-of-a-kind acting company named
Les Reines du Silence and recently wrote and produced her first bilingual play titled
« Entre-deux », which will be soon performed in theaters in Paris.
